I used to work in a record shop in Brixton. I didn't enjoy that job. Every Sunday morning we'd arrive an hour before the doors opened and rearrange the store. The manager used to put on Mule Variations by Tom Waits every single Sunday morning, and I couldn't stand it. But after the 20th or so listen I started to get it, and now it's easily in my top 5 albums of all time.
I've been trying for a long time to make something that could be on an album like that, and I think this one is as close as I've got so far.
